Recruited by Mayor’s Office of Special Events to stage and execute the first block of walkers in the parade which took place in downtown Houston. Worked closely with Susan Christian and the event director, Stella Pereira, to swiftly and efficiently kick-off the parade. Led a team of three responsible for 20+ parade entries, ensuring proper placement, pace, and timing.

Worked with the Art Colony Association as Director of the Green Mountain Energy Children’s Creative Zone and the VIP Area for the fall event near City Hall in downtown Houston. Designed and oversaw the event scavenger hunt in partnership with the Get Out Here Houston app and website. We celebrated, recreated and created at the Grand Opening of Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday, October 3. Worked with the Mayor’s Office of Special Events with onsite sponsor recognition logistics and VIP experience for Fourth of July celebration featuring chart topping musicians in downtown Houston which attracts nearly 50,000 attendees.
Event Director for first annual Bayou Greenway Day 2015 presented by Noble Energy along Brays Bayou for the Houston Parks Board in connection with the Mayor’s Office of Special Events and the Houston Parks & Recreation Department. Over 2,000 Houstonians, including Mayor Annise Parker, came out to Walk, Bike, Run, Stroll, Play, Picnic, and Paddle at this free community event on April 4, 2015. Successfully unified team, focused efforts, cut budget in half, and efficiently executed event.

Served as a consultant to this first time event, an outdoor music festival outside College Station, TX featuring Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis and Gary P. Nunn promoting Millican Reserve in October 2014. Impacted overall attendee experience, site map, security, parking (including efficient ingress and egress), fiscal controls, and VIP benefits.

In charge of planning and executing the VIP experience and the interactive Green Mountain Energy Children’s Creative Zone at this event held in downtown Houston which attracts 40,000 attendees over two days. Promoted to project leader in January 2014 for final stages of planning and execution of this all day family friendly festival at the Battleship TEXAS featuring Robert Earl Keen planned for 20,000 attendees with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Successfully led a team of 30+ individuals and organizations specializing in event logistics, stage/entertainment, marketing, transportation, and security, to name a few. Accomplished changing the team dynamic to a more cohesive, collaborative group focused on the success of the events day of and through project completion.
